Signs That Your Skin Is Aging A Little Too Fast

Everyone dreads aging. We all want to maintain the glow for as long as we live. However, this may prove to be a challenge. You never see it coming. You just realize that you have more lines around your mouth and your body no longer looks like that of a 30-year old. Luckily, with procedures such as coolsculpting, you can be able to regain your youthfulness.

As we age, things change. One of them is the skin. We need to protect it to prevent it from aging prematurely. As you protect your skin, here are warning signs for aging that you should look out for. In case you notice any of them, it is vital that you call your dermatologist.

  1. Dull and dry skin

The skin is known for shedding the dead cell layer. Well, as it ages, this might not happen as it should. This results in your skin looking dull and being dry. This is because as the dead cells build up, the glow decreases.

  1. Loss of volume

Saggy skin in the face is common with older people. It is one of the indicators of aging. It is worth noting that the reason behind the sagging skin is a loss of volume in the face. This is caused by the decrease in volume giving cells. As the volume is lost, you start to notice that the eye sockets become more prominent, the cheeks become flatter, and the jawbone shrinks.

  1. Brown spots

The appearance of brown spots is mostly accelerated by exposure to the sun. They can appear on the face, hands, and shoulders. If you start noticing them, it is a warning sign of aging skin. They are often mistaken for cancerous growths, but they are harmless. They are more familiar with people aged 50 and above. However, younger people can have them due to the reasons explained above: too much exposure to sunlight. The good news is that they can be removed.

  1. Wrinkles and fine lines

You should also watch out for wrinkles and fine lines. They are also indicators of aging skin. If you are of age, you should not be too worried about them. You should, however, be concerned if your peers do not have them. Many factors can lead to this. One of them includes exposure to sunlight and prolonged usage of drinking straws. With this, you will notice that the lines around your mouth have become more prominent.

To prevent premature aging of the skin, you need to start taking care of it as soon as now. However, if it is too late, there is no need for despair: there is always something that you can do about it. Reach out to your dermatologist, and you will be advised on the way forward.
